This is Poppy, our new addition to the ClarkeArt team🐶🎨

Yesterday at Clarke art we had a workshop for kids with additional needs, organized by ASK. Here are some of the lovely hanging fish and paintings they created.🐟🐠🎣

This week students explored the work of modernist artist Beatriz Milhazes, who is one of Brazil's most successful contemporary painters. Characterised by her use of colour, optical movement and geometry, especially circular shapes.

Lovely value studies of primary objects drawn in graphite by students in today’s art class.💐🐎

This week students studied the connection between form and colour. Inspired by the art of op artist Victor Vasarely, who recognized the inner geometry of nature, and (according to Jozsef Sarkany at the Vasarely Museum in Hungary) also thought that everyone is an artist.🎨

Following the colour wheels from last week, students have been exploring the abstract style of Spanish painter Joan Miró, who said ’I try to apply colors like words that shape poems, like notes that shape music’.💕
