These terms and conditions apply to all Clarke Art events run for students, applied for and consented to by the parent or guardian. Clarke Art reserve the right to make changes to the terms and conditions as the situation arises.
Minimum Age: Clarke Art is suitable only for Primary and Secondary School children. Clarke Art Teachers are not trained or insured in the care of Preschoolers – Clarke Art Ltd operates using the policies, procedures and guidelines designed for children in Primary and Secondary Education – HSE Guidelines for the care of Preschoolers works to a set of policies, procedures and guidelines not practiced by Clarke Art’s Teaching Staff. The portfolios are challenging and designed based on the Primary School Visual Arts Curriculum. If your child is too young and/or does not meet our requirements for booking and you booked without this realisation you can request a full unconditional refund on and up to the first day of camp. Bookings will be monitored by staff and appropriate action taken when bookings are made out side of age limits.
Event times and fees are published on our website and brochures. They are also confirmed in our booking confirmation email. An application will only be deemed accepted if accompanied by the payment of fees or a deposit (€50).
Receipt of the application and any fees paid at the time of application will be confirmed by email or text along with all relevant course details. Acceptance of a student is confirmed once that email or text has been issued. Any balance of fees should be paid not later than 5 working days before the first day of class/camp.
Methods of Payment; Debit, Visa Debit or Credit Card, Direct Credit, Direct Debit, Standing Order, PayPal, Cheque or Cash.
Clarke Art reserves the right to exclude/refuse students from classes, for reasons of unsuitability, disciplinary or other at our own discretion.
Students participate at the parent/guardian’s own risk and parents/guardians are obliged to inform Clarke Art and its staff of any existing significant medical conditions, allergies or special needs.
Emergency Contact: Please provide two contact numbers. We will contact you in the event of any sickness/incident/injury, unless deemed to be very minor. If your child has any ailments, allergies or special needs let us know – any information provided will be treated as confidential.
Students are obliged to take care of their own belongings and art work. Clarke Art can accept no liability for lost or damaged belongings.
Pick-up Arrangements: Our teachers will be on-site for at least 30 minutes after the camp end-time. A teacher will man the doors. Your child will not be permitted to leave the premises until a recognised family member, friend or child minder is there to collect them. Please inform the office if you wish to make alternative arrangements.
Permission forms are available if you wish to let an older child walk home from camp.
Photographs and videos may be taken of artwork/class groups/awards/puppet for promotional reasons.
We use pictures sensibly and aim to never publish children’s names with pictures. Please inform a member of the Clarke Art Teaching/Administrative staff if you do not wish your child to be involved in any photo shoots.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
At Clarke Art, we understand how busy parents and kids are these days, and that scheduling for yourself and your family can be tricky. We try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate shifting schedules and needs. Let us know ASAP if a conflict in scheduling should arise, and we may be able to:
- transfer you to another day of classes or week of summer camp (where space allows).
- refund payment within time frames stated below.
- give you credit for future Clarke Art classes, camps &/or parties.
Classes:
Refunds are gladly given for weekly classes within 2 weeks (14 days) of payment, less a 10% administrative fee per student and less the amount of any class days attended.
Cancellations made after 2 weeks from payment date but within the first 2 weeks of the start of the class will receive a credit toward future Clarke Art classes or parties, less a €25 administrative fee per student and less the amount of any classes attended. Missed classes can be made up within the current session if scheduled with prior notice (within 10 weeks for the 10 class package).
For the 10 class package: Classes should be used within 10 weeks of your first class. Up to 2 unused class credits can be rolled forward into the following class season (for an additional 10 week window) only with prior notice given in writing to the studio (emails preferred).
Class prices are not otherwise pro-rated, refunded or credited for missed days or illness.
Unused classes are non-refundable.
Make-up Classes:
Missed classes can be made up within the current session if scheduled with prior notice (within 12 weeks of starting for the 10 class package). Make-up classes are subject to scheduling and space availability. Please call ahead to schedule and reserve your spot for make-up classes.
For the 10 class package: Classes should be used within 10 weeks of your first class. Up to 2 unused class credits can be rolled forward into the following class season (for an additional 10 week window) only with prior notice given in writing to the studio (emails preferred).
Other than the 2 classes that can be rolled over with prior written notice, class prices are not otherwise pro-rated, refunded or credited for missed days or illness. Unused classes are non-refundable.
Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer Camps and Workshops:
Refunds are gladly given for Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer Camps and Workshops within 2 weeks (14 days) of payment, less a 10% administrative fee per student and less the amount of any camp days attended.
Cancellations made after 2 weeks from the payment date that are not within 2 weeks (14 days) of the start of your registered week of camp, will receive a credit toward future Clarke Art classes, camps &/or parties applied to your account, less a €50 administrative fee per student for each week of camp credited.
Cancellations made within 2 weeks (14 days) of the start of your registered week of camp will receive a credit of 50% of original payment toward future classes camps and parties.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the start date of your registered week of camp or during your registered week of camp are non-refundable and not eligible for credit.
Camp prices are not pro-rated, refunded or credited for missed days or illness. Unused Extended Care hours are non-refundable.
Summer Camps:
Refunds for Summer Camp are gladly given through April 1st, less a 10% administrative fee per student for each week of camp refunded.
Cancellations made after April 1st, that are not within 2 weeks (14 days) of the start of your registered week of camp, will receive a credit toward future Clarke Art classes, camps &/or parties applied to your account, less a 10% administrative fee per student for each week of camp credited.
Cancellations made within 2 weeks (14 days) of the start of your registered week of camp will receive a credit of 50% of original payment toward future classes camps and parties.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the start date of your registered week of camp or during your registered week of camp are non-refundable and not eligible for credit.
Camp prices are not pro-rated, refunded or credited for missed days or illness. Unused Extended Care hours are non-refundable.
Art Parties:
Refunds for parties are gladly given within 72 hours of payment, up to one week from the scheduled event date. Cancellations after 72 hours from payment, or within one week of the scheduled event date, will receive a credit toward future Clarke Art classes, camps &/or parties applied to your account, less the amount of a 10% administrative fee. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled event date will receive a 50% credit toward future Clarke Art classes, camps &/or parties.
Cancellation Credit:
Credit given toward future classes, camps, parties and workshops is non-transferable and must be used within one year of initial cancellation. Credit given by Clarke Art toward future classes, camps, parties & workshops as outlined above, is valid for one year from the initial date of cancellation made by the purchaser. Exception: Credit resulting from the COVID-19 shutdown will not expire and is transferable.
