‘Pegasus’ is an oil on canvas based on the sculpture in Powerscourt House & Gardens, Co. Wicklow.

The painting is an interplay between positive and negative space, utilising a simple compositional structure and built-up with numerous layers of glazing over a detailed under-drawing. Art elements of form, colour, tonality and composition are carefully considered and incorporated.
