What’s on offer:

Junior Art Classes

Overview:

Clarke art classes are Teacher Guided-Student Directed, and incorporates the Teaching for Artistic Behaviour philosophy, where the student is the artist and the art room is their studio. We believe students should be involved in the entire artistic process from the initial idea, through the design, creation to the final reflection of their artwork. When creating art, the student artist starts with a subject, the inspiration, and is presented as a Theme. Themes are basically subjects that allow for a range of interpretation for the student. The range of themes at Clarke Art can include objects, architecture, portraiture, landscape, nature, the human figure, imagination, non-representational and conceptual. At Clarke Art we explore concepts, demonstrate techniques and materials, and explain process to support our students to create well made, original artworks of meaning.

Students are encouraged to take risks through experimentation.

For the Realised Artworks section of the portfolio, students will create five physical final artworks underpinned by their previous investigations.
